Third Annual PAGNY Job Fair Attracts Residents and Fellows from NYC Area and Beyond
PAGNY held a highly successful Third Annual Residents and Fellows Job Fair at the New York Academy of Medicine on Oct. 19 that attracted 25 Residents and Fellows currently in training programs in the New York City area and from as far away as Buffalo and Detroit.
The fair gave PAGNY’s senior leadership the opportunity to identify potential candidates to fill vacancies at PAGNY- affiliated hospitals and facilities. PAGNY’s physician leaders explained to the young doctors that PAGNY’s mission is to provide high-quality medical care for underserved communities. They told them that working at a PAGNY-affiliated facility is both challenging and rewarding and will help them become more rounded physicians and healthcare providers.
The PAGNY leaders also explained the many specialties and programs available at different facilities and gave the Residents and Fellows career advice on how to balance their medical practice, research and community service.
Attendees included residents from Interfaith Medical Center, South Beach State Hospital, NYU Medical Center and Montefiore Medical Center. They represented a wide range of sub-specialties, including Internal Medicine, OB/GYN and Family Medicine.
Dr. Luis Marcos, PAGNY’s Chief Executive Officer, welcomed the Residents and Fellows and said PAGNY’s mission is to provide outstanding patient-centered care, significantly improve health outcomes for all of our communities and create a culture of forward-thinking, enterprising medical professionals who share a commitment to clinical excellence.
