Description
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Director of Gastroenterology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. The hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.

- Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for patients with digestive and liver diseases
- Perform Diagnostic/Therapeutic Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and/or Push Enteroscopy (with or without biopsies, polypectomy, control of bleeding, ligation of varices, removal of foreign bodies, dilation, stenting, etc.) for outpatients and inpatients
- Perform screening colonoscopies
- Perform and interpret capsule endoscopy procedures
- Supervise and mentor gastroenterology fellows and medicine residents assigned to the gastroenterology service
- Perform administrative duties including the daily attending schedule
- Participate in the weekend and evening call coverage for gastroenterology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County and SUNY Downstate Medical Center
Qualifications
