Description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Emergency Medicine Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties, including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

• Analyze, examine, and investigate patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances. • Advise, order, and perform tests and interpret the results. • Discuss diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures. • Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records. • Supporting patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions and their loved ones. • Conducting research and studies on the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to develop new treatment techniques. • Remaining up-to-date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology. • Handling basic administrative, clerical, and business tasks, such as filing, answering phones, or data entry.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved medical school. • Possession of a valid license to practice in New York State. • A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions. • Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses. • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and researching skills. • Five years of full-time licensed experience as a physician practicing general medicine acceptable to the Medicine Board of the Medical Board of the Hospital.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $109,791* based on 21-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $197,290**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $24,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee..
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
