Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Metropolitan Hospital accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

The Physician Assistant will work full time hours in the Emergency Medicine Department at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. 

• Performing history and physical examinations
• Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments
• Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and other therapies as needed
• Making referrals as necessary, consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate
• Maintaining patient confidentiality

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Master’s degree preferred, but other PA degree levels are encouraged to apply.
• Active NYS Physician Assistant Licensure
• Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA)
• BLS/ACLS certified
