Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for a Research Assistant at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. The Hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

- Establish uniform correspondence procedures and practices.
- Formulates procedure for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of records.
- Reviews official directives and correspondence to assure timely accurate and appropriate responses.
- Prepares all necessary documents for submissions to the IRBs and NYC Health + Hospitals in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Acts as liaison with Director of Research, the research staff, the finance staff, Principal Investigators, clinical trial and grant sponsors.
- Facilitates effective, accurate, timely communication among all necessary individuals.
- Serves as Facility Research Coordinator for the Research Administration Office Central Office.
- Provides assistance to research personnel on following NYC H+H policies and procedures.
- Assist director with the creation and revision of departmental policies.
- Verifies patient reimbursements receipts against EMR.
- Communicates with monitors and auditors performing verifications and quality assurance reviews or audits.
- Keeps the Research staff informed of any and all changes of FDA, IRB, and NY State requirements for research.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, preferably in Science or Health Policy.
- A minimum of 3 years of research experience in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs or Quality Assurance with knowledge of Phase I-IV clinical studies and data management aspects of clinical research.
- Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines and Code of Federal regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to foster smooth communications and teamwork among clinical research faculty and staff as well as external sites and organizations (sponsors and contract research organizations).
- Analytical skills for problem solving; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks & priorities.
- Solid experience in using Microsoft Office programs and software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
