Description
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Rheumatologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy and accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

PAGNY is recruiting for a Part time Rheumatologist at H+H/South Brooklyn Health
- Provide care for patients with rheumatology related medical conditions directly via outpatient clinics
- Provide rheumatology consults for the inpatient service
- Manage administrative duties, including EMR documentation, timely billing for reimbursement, analysis of quality data and reports, attending meetings and serving on various committees as needed
- Teach and mentor medicine residents, fellows, and junior members of the medical team
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical School or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited university
- Board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine
- Active or NYS Medical License
- Active, unrestricted DEA license
- Cultural sensitivity to a diverse patient population required
- Previous experience working with an under-served patient population preferred
