NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in northern Manhattan. As a Level 2 Trauma Center, Harlem Hospital offers a full spectrum of specialty services, including neurology, seizure management, and neurosurgery. Harlem provides comprehensive support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia through the Forget Me Not Support Groups.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County’s accredited and award-winning Brooklyn Neuroscience Center provides comprehensive care for brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system disorders to patients of all ages. The Traumatic Brain Injury Service, part of the American College of Surgeons-accredited Level 1 Trauma Center, treats brain trauma complications. The Stroke Center is accredited as Thrombectomy Capable by The Joint Commission and has received Gold Plus recognition for excellence in stroke care by the American Stroke/Heart Association. The Neurocritical Care Service supports both the Stroke and Trauma Centers. The Stroke Center also advances neuroscience knowledge through NIH research consortia and investigator-initiated projects in epilepsy and traumatic brain injury. The Epilepsy Center has achieved Level 2 accreditation according to the National Association for Accredited Epilepsy Centers.
