Apr 23, 2020
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Lewis W. Marshall, Jr. to PAGNY as the new Chief Medical Officer for NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in the Bronx.
Dr. Marshall received his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine, as well as a Master of Science from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine as well as Disaster Medicine, Legal Medicine, and Internal Medicine -- specialties that are more relevant today than ever before. Dr. Marshall has a history with New York City's public hospitals: upon receiving his medical degree, he worked as a visiting clinic fellow in internal medicine at PAGNY’s affiliate NYC Health + Hospitals/ Harlem. He has spent his career caring for New Yorkers. After periods at hospitals in Brooklyn and Queens, he spent fifteen years at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, first serving as the Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine and then of the Department of Ambulatory Care and Community Services. Most recently, Dr. Marshall served as the Medical Director of New York University's Student Health Center for nearly 60,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
PAGNY and NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln are lucky in these difficult times to have such a dedicated and experienced new addition to our teams.
