At this year’s Executive Leadership Diversity Summit, PAGNY’s Dr. Trevor Dixon, M.D., was selected as a winner of the Dr. Wes Curry Award in Social Justice. These annual recognitions, presented by Vituity and The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), highlight the outstanding contributions of emergency medicine leaders in the areas of Executive Leadership, Social Justice, and Service Excellence. 5 physicians from the United States were chosen for these honors.
Dr. Dixon serves as Director of Emergency Ultrasound at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Dixon is also the CEO and Founder of the Jamaicans Abroad Helping Jamaicans at Home (JAHJAH) Foundation, which engages members of the Jamaican Diaspora and supporters in the improvement of Jamaica’s health, social, and human services, as well as their education system, through partnerships with public hospitals, schools, and communities.
