Vidya P. Menon, MD, FACP is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, and the Director of Research in the Department of Medicine at Lincoln Medical Center - New York City Health and Hospitals, Bronx, New York. Dr. Menon graduated from King Edward Memorial Hospital, one of the leading medical institutions in India. She continued her residency training in Internal Medicine at the Lincoln Medical Center.
In addition, she was trained in Coaching in Leadership and healthcare at Harvard Medical School, Disaster preparedness Training conducted by Federal Emergency management association (FEMA), and other training sessions conducted by Lean Enterprise Institute.
She holds active licensure in the state of Washington and New York. Her diverse experiences as a medical practitioner in India, rural areas of Washington state, and urban underserved communities of New York City, gives her a unique perspective on the best ways to handle uncertain times like we are in today.
In addition to caring for her patients as a physician, she has been one of the active researchers in evaluating safety and efficacy of multiple COVID -19 treatments that have emerged since the pandemic. She has given conferences on prone positioning and preparation for second-wave, in affiliation with Society for Critical Care Medicine.
Her upcoming publication on SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence among healthcare workers will shed light on issues that were previously overlooked. Her other research interests include quality improvement, international medicine, and infectious disease. She has over 30 publications in reputable journals worldwide.
